Adjust Your Clocks on Saturday Night!

Daylight Savings Time Begins on Sunday March 14th. You will want to adjust your clocks forward one hour before going to sleep on Satuday night. This is something we do every spring; we "Spring Forward" one hour. Then in November we "Fall Back" one hour. It's called "Daylight Savings Time". Read more about daylight savings time from Wikipedia.

Walk-in Advising During Spring Break and Beyond
Walk-ins will be very limited during Spring Break. It's also Orientation Week for new arriving students.
-There will be no advisors available from Tuesday, March 23 through Thursday, March 25.
-Regular walk-in advising will be available on Friday, March 26th.
-During the first week of the quarter, advisors will available for walk-ins from 8:00am until 5:00pm for registration-related questions only.

I-20 Signatures Required for International Travel

Do you plan to take a trip outside the US during spring break? Avoid the rush at the end of the quarter. Come to the IP Office and get your I-20 signed early!

Double Registration is Risky!
Sometimes students register for more than one section of the same class if the section they really want is only available by waitlist. But Beware! This is risky! If you get into the waitlisted section you will have two sections in your registration, and you will not know this unless you check your registration regularly. Then one of those sections will automatically be dropped for you if you neglect to take care of it yourself. You must be careful to check your schedule regularly.

No Show Replacement Policy Change
Effective Spring quarter 2010, “If a student misses the first two days of a class without notifying the instructor, the student may be submitted as a “no-show.” The policy used to read the first three days of the quarter. Any student on the class roster who has not attended during the first two days of class can be replaced by a student wishing to register for the class, using the no-show replacement form issued by the instructor. The replaced student will be sent a letter indicating he/she has been replaced and needs to officially withdraw. A grade of 0.0 will be issued to students who fail to officially withdraw through Enrollment Services. It is the student’s responsibility to drop a class if not attending. Read more here.

New High Demand Classes Added for Spring!
