Tuition Fee

Tuition fee is due by the first day of the quarter (9/19/11). There will be a $95 late fee for students who still have a balance due by the end of the business day. Even if you are still finalizing your schedule, you are still required to pay your outstanding balance by the end of the business day on 9/19/11. Once your schedule is finalized, if you have added any new courses that were not paid for, you can pay for those classes on that day without any late fee. Avoid the line at the cashier's office! Pay Online.

12 Credit Rule

All academic students must register for a minimum of 12 credits to be in compliance with the immigration regulations. If you do not yet have 12 credits, attend the classes you are interested in (try several sections) and ask the teacher if they have space to add you. Then bring the completed registration forms to the IP office to add those classes. After talking to teachers, if you have questions or need advice, you should speak with your advisor to find the best solution.

How to Overload into Classes
If you are on a wait list on the first day of class (or even if you are not on a waitlist) and you still want to be enrolled in that class, you must attend the class and get permission from the instructor. Sometimes they "Overload" their class with extra seats. Classes are particularly full this quarter and there is high demand, so there is no guarantee that you will get in. Talk to the teacher, be polite with your request and you may have a chance! After collecting the teacher's signature on the registration form, bring your permission form(s) to an advisor to get registered in the IP office.

Address Update

The law requires that you update your address within 10 days of any move! Updating your address is quick and easy. Link here to get the form to update your address. Then take the completed form to Enrollment Services, located upstairs in LSC. You may also update your address at the front desk in the IP Office.

Tips for Finding Classes
1) Target early morning, afternoon and evening classes. More students drop them, so your chances to get in are better.
2) Attend your target classes every day, and make sure the teacher sees you. Your chances are much better if you attend daily.
3) Be nice!!! Teachers have the right to say "yes" or "no". Many other students are trying to get classes too.
4) Don't be choosy! The classes you need and the classes you want are not always the same. Get the classes you need. Don't worry too much about the time they are offered. Each quarter gets easier as you gain seniority for earlier registration times.

New Student Appointment (NSA)
If this is your first academic quarter, please schedule your NSA with your assigned advisor at the IP office. If you fail to complete your appointment by the 8th week of the quarter, your registration account will be blocked. Yikes!
