Winter 2011 E-Newsletter Issue #4

Important Dates

Feb 14- Registration access times begin for spring quarter
Feb 21- President's day (campus closed)
Feb 25-
Last day to submit pass/non-credit petition
Feb 25- Last day to complete official withdraw from winter quarter

You must Complete your NSA!
All new students must complete a New Student Appointment (NSA) with their Advisor during the first quarter. Your NSA will be very helpful as you consider which courses to take at GRCC. Failure to schedule an NSA will result is a registration block for future quarters. Don't delay, schedule today!
Do you Know your Registration Access Appointment Time?

Registration for spring quarter is coming up quickly! You can find your registration access time on the GRCC website under online services-class registration-registration access time, or just link here. Check schedule planner for the most accurate and up to date class availability and be ready to register online immediately at your registration access time.

Drop vs Pass/Non-Credit?

Dropping a class means that you will no longer be taking that class.
You will receive a permanent "W" on your transcript if you drop this late in the quarter.
Changing to Pass/Non-Credit is an option to keep the class, but protect your GPA.
With this option, you are still enrolled in the class, but instead of a grade you receive a "P" on your permanent transcript, if you pass the class with a GPA of 1.5 or above, or an "NC" (no credit) if you do not pass. The application for Pass/Non-Credit is to be submitted to Enrollment Services in LC by the Feb 25th deadline. Remember, you must maintain a minimum of 12 credits to remain in status with your visa requirements. If you have questions please see your advisor.
