Important Dates



August 11- Last day of instruction
August 17- Grades available online
September 5- Labor Day holiday (campus closed)

September 13- Opening Day (campus is closed until 1pm)
September 17- Last day to add your name to waitlist (by 10:30pm)
September 19- Fall classes begin

IP Office Hours

*Open Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm through August 26th
*This Friday (August 12th) IP will be open for I-20 signatures from 9am until 2pm.
*Open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm beginning September 2nd
*You can expect the week before school starts to be quite busy with new student orientation happening, Sept 9-14. There will be no advising available on those days.
*Advising will be available for current students on the 15th and 16th of September.

Suggesting an Early Tuition Payment for Fall Quarter

Tuition for fall quarter is due on September 19th, the same day that classes begin. The updated tuition adjustments have been made for fall quarter, so you can pay any time now. There is a $95 late fee if you fail to make payment by the end of the day on the first day of the quarter. Skip the long lines at the cashier's office on the first day of school and the risk of last minute bank transfer delays. Please consider paying early to avoid a late fee. Begin Preparing NOW for your 2012 University Transfer

-Choose at least 5 schools to apply to (visit http://www.collegeboard.com/)
-Check out the online admission and application requirements
-Gather those needed documents (bank statement, high school transcripts, etc)
-Start writing your personal essay.
-Take the TOEFL exam (click here to register)

Address Update

Update your address within 10 days of any move! Updating your address is quick and easy. Link here to get the form to update your address. Then take the completed form to Enrollment Services, located upstairs in LSC. You may also update your address at the front desk in the IP Office.

IESL Announcements
-IESL Students may view their fall schedules on-line Saturday, September 17 after 12:00 p.m., not before.
-The first day of fall quarter is Monday, September 19. You must attend the first week of the quarter, or you will be dropped from your IESL classes. Tuition, proof of personal insurance, and English proficiency are all due on the first day of the quarter. There are no refunds of tuition to IESL students.
-IESL Attendance Policy Change fall 2011
Effective fall quarter there will be a new attendance policy for the IESL.· At 8 absences students will be registered for IESL Academic English Fundamentals in the following quarter to develop the English and study skills needed to be successful in the IESL.
-English Proficiency Change winter 2012
Effective for entrance into the academic program winter 2012, we will accept IELTS of 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0

Campus Safety
* GRCC Safety Alert- Subscribe to GRCC Safety Alert and keep informed of Campus emergencies, safety issues and inclement weather emergency closures. This is a FREE service available to all GRCC students. Click here to learn more and to subscribe.
* Send a Red Flag- GRCC has an information reporting system. Please click here to report any suspicious behavior or security threats on campus. In a true emergency please call 911 first to contact the police, the fire department or to get emergency medical help.
* Campus Safety Rides are available from dusk (currently around 5:00 pm) until 11:00 pm on Sunday through Thursday, and dusk until 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday within 1.5 miles of campus. Call 253-797-4868 which will put you in direct contact with the driver of the van that night. Be safe, use Safety Rides!
